Hurrah -- I FINALLY got around to making some of the new flavors. Behold the new Indigoddess lip balms: Ginger Peach, Candy Necklace, Chocolate Eclair, and Apples and Oranges! :-D

Chocolate Eclair: This brings to mind an eclair filled with smooth, rich Bavarian cream and topped with chocolate glaze. Mmmm. I'm hungry just thinking about it!

Apples and Oranges: It's spiced apple cider with an orange juice twist!

Ginger Peach: Juicy peach with just a touch of ginger.

And finally...

Candy Necklace: This scent can only be described by mentioning those candy necklaces we used to love when we were kids. You remember, the ones with pastel "beads" of sugar. This balm will bring back memories!

I've also got the makings for Pumpkin, Cheesecake, Buttercream, Chardonnay, Anise, Caramel, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Pistachioo, Bavarian Cream, and a WHOLE slew of others -- contact me for custom balms.

x-posted to lipglosswhores:

Hey! FYI, there are three new Indigoddess lip balm flavors: Banana Candy, Raspberry Cream, and Sweet Almond. Also, I have new containers; the .15oz tubes are the same but the new .33oz pots hold more balm and are more flat so they fit better in purses and pockets. Check it out! Thanks muchly... :-)

Woohoo... new this week:
  • No longer running low on coconut, chocolate orange cream, and mint chip balms; I have plenty now!
  • New flatter pots are still clear so you can see the balm, but they fit better in your pocket!
  • Tins are back in stock, so order your solid perfume tins today!
  • I only have a few .75oz lotion bar tubes left, so until I order some new ones, they're first come, first served.
  • New perfume fragrances this week: Juniper Breeze Type, Funky Hawaiian Fruit. New flavor: Apricots 'n' cream. Look for those to show up on the site in the next day or two. More new flavors and fragrances coming soon!

5:28 pm - New flavor

I did a new batch last night: Green Apple. It turned out quite nicely. I also made a batch of grapefruit lime, but it might be a little bit too jelly-like. Then again, I don't know -- do you guys like pot balms that are solid in consistency but yield if you press your finger in too much? Some people must love it; a few of the high-end brands sell pot balms that are practically liquid.

Anyway, I need to make that batch over again 'cause I used extra-virgin olive oil and I doubt anybody really wants olive-scented balms. ;-) But I did make another nice batch that I'll have to scent and give out in samples; it's got a similar consistency but has a little bit more mango butter and less coconut oil.

And in other news... very, VERY soon, look for glycerine soaps to be added to the site. :-D

Also, I have a TON of essential, flavor and fragrance oils, so if you're interested in having a perfume or balm custom-made, let me know and I'll tell you if I can do it, and if I don't have the oils I'll see if I can get them.

I've sent out all outstanding orders. If you've ordered but are not paying via PayPal, please be sure to tell me when you've sent payment so I can expect it in the mail and so I can get your order ready!

Oh, and if you're just receiving your order, please let me know what you think of the samples, if you have any comments! Thanks! :-)

I'm especially curious as to what people think of the vanilla-citrus sample. I've always kind of considered that my trademark balm, with random adjustments and additions of different butters. but the fragrance and the concept... yeah. but until now I never really put them out there for public review; mostly I gave them to friends and family.

the history of indigoddess -- kinda long...Collapse )

3:48 pm - Update

Okay, so all the current Indigoddess orders have been mailed out if I've received your payment. Orders of more than $10 shipped via Priority Mail.

In each package I've included a sample of one of two recipes I've been working on; the tube one is made with virgin coconut oil, and the pot one is infused with vanilla beans and scented with mandarin and sweet orange essential oils. I would absolutely love to hear any comments you might have on either of them -- scent, texture, consistency, etc.

Hi peoples... I created this community so I can... yeah, communicate with people who use and enjoy my lip balms. Occasionally I'll send out a free sample with orders; they're usually new recipes, so if you get one, I'd love it if you'd tell me what you think of it.

What you can expect here: Updates, special offers, surveys, polls, etc. I'll also post useful articles for people interested in making their own balms.

I do not sell my lip balms through this LiveJournal; this is for community and discussion. If you're interested in the balms themselves, please visit the website. .
